Use of self-drilling screws
Use of self-drilling screws TEX ( DIN 7504 )
Self-drilling screw TEX, made of steel, galvanized
The best use of the screw of this material:
- Longitudinal joining steel and aluminum profiled sheets
- Strengthening of steel and aluminum profiled sheet to steel and aluminum structures
- Strengthening of sandwich panels, plastic, cement, wood and facade tiles on the steel and aluminum structures
It is possible joining of structural components in one operation (without pre-drilling).
Self-drilling screw TEX, made of stainless steel (AISI 304)
The best use of the screw of this material:
- Longitudinal connecting profiled aluminum sheets
- Consolidation of profiled aluminum sheets to aluminum construction
- Strengthening of sandwich panels, plastic, cement, wood and facade tiles on aluminum structures
- Specially designed for corrosive environments
- IMPROPER USE: longitudinal connecting profiled steel sheets and fixing mention materials for steel structures - material stainless steel, no further adjustments for steel structures is not hard enough
Pre-drilling is recommended.
Self-drilling (tapping) screw TEX made of stainless steel, hardened (AISI 410)
The best use of the screw of this material:
- Longitudinal joining steel and aluminum profiled sheets
- Strengthening of steel and aluminum profiled sheet to steel and aluminum structures
- Strengthening of sandwich panels, plastic, cement, wood and facade tile on the steel and aluminum structures
- Specially designed for corrosive environments
- NOTE: stainless steel material obtained by quenching the hardness required for joining steelprofiled sheets and fixing above mention materials for steel structures and also allows use incorrosive environments
It is possible joining of structural components in one operation (without pre-drilling).
Self-drilling (tapping) screw TEX material + stainless steel bi-metal drilling tip
- NOTE: material stainless steel connection + bi-metal drilling tip is just another option not onlyfor corrosive environments, but mainly for connecting profiled steel sheets and fixing the above mention materials for steel structures
It is possible joining of structural components in one operation (without pre-drilling).
